BIRDFEEDER ALERT
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is recommending the use of bird feeders and bird baths cease through May 31 due to avian influenza concerns. Officials said bird flu has not been detected in birds at this time. They note during spring, wild birds will have ample food sources while bird feeders are removed.
