Illinois’ Former Top Health Official Finds New Job The former head of the Illinois Department of Public Health has a new job. Dr. Ngozi Ezike has been named the new President and CEO of Sinai Chicago hospital network. She will begin her new position June 13th, replacing Karen Teitelbaum, who has led the system for 15 years. Ezike stepped down last month as Illinois’ health director after guiding the state’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
