Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin’s campaign is acknowledging it sent out mailers that violated a state election code. The Chicago Tribune reports the Republican candidate for governor sent out the mailers blasting Republican primary rival Darren Bailey. The flyers violated a state election code requirement by not disclosing who paid for them. Irvin’s campaign attorney blamed the mistake on the printer who sent the mailing.
