The Illinois Department of Public Health is shutting down the ten Community-Based COVID-19 testing sites in the state this week. Operations will end Thursday due to a sharp drop in demand for COVID testing services and the anticipated end of federal funding. The sites carried out more than one-point-five million tests in total throughout their operation. They include locations in Aurora, Bloomington, Champaign, Rockford, Arlington Heights, and Waukegan.
