New Legislation Aims To Improve Protections For Health Insurance Consumers

New legislation is designed to improve protections for health insurance consumers in Illinois.   The proposed bill does several things including limits on how long patients have to wait to get in to see an in-network provider.  The measure also would let the department inform the public that an insurer is being investigated.  Details would remain confidential until the case is closed.
