The County Clerk’s Office has begun mailing voter ID cards to all registered voters. Voters should review their card for changes to their polling place, precinct, and districts.
Every ten years after the census many of the election district boundaries are changed. Voters will likely be in new or different districts and should take note before they go to the polls.
Voters who receive a voter ID card for someone that no longer lives at their address can return the mail by leaving it in their mailbox with the notation “Not at this address” marked on the envelope.
Election information and updates can be found at maconcounty.illinois.gov. If voters have questions they can call the Macon County Clerk’s Office at 217-424-1333 or email elections@maconcounty.illinois.gov.
