Illinois House Approves New Legislative Watchdog

The Illinois House is moving forward with a new legislative watchdog.  Michael McCuskey was approved yesterday by the Democratic-controlled House over objections from Republicans.  The Senate voted to approve the retired Democratic judge the day before.  The legislative inspector general’s office has been vacant for about a month after the departure of Carol Pope.
