…WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON…
Heavy mixed precipitation possible. Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. This will impact portions of central and east central Illinois, mainly from around Jacksonville to Bloomington eastward, beginning Thursday morning, and continuing through the afternoon.
Plan on slippery road conditions as the hazardous conditions will likely impact the evening commute.
A change from rain to a mixture of sleet and freezing rain will occur Thursday morning west of I-55, and east of that area in the afternoon. This mixture will change to all snow during the afternoon.
