Three Crashes Involving State Police Squad Cars

State police are investigating three separate crashes involving state police squad cars.  Yesterday morning, a trooper’s vehicle was hit along I-72 near Illiopolis.  The trooper was treated and released from the hospital.  Another squad car was hit several hours later on I-57, south of Mattoon.  Later that afternoon, a car hit a trooper’s vehicle on the ramp from southbound Veterans Parkway to I-72 eastbound, in Springfield.  That trooper was hospitalized and is expected to make a full recovery.
