University of Illinois Raising Tuition

The University of Illinois is raising tuition for in-state freshmen.  Starting next fall, tuition will increase one-point-eight percent for incoming in-state freshmen in Urbana-Champaign and Chicago, and one-point-five percent in Springfield.  Currently enrolled in-state students will see no tuition increase.  This is the second tuition increase in the past eight years.
