Family members of Jelani Day along with the Reverend Jesse Jackson and supporters are set to hold a virtual town hall. The Justice for Jelani Day event will be held Friday evening and will focus on how people can join the effort to fight for justice for Day. The University of Illinois graduate student was reported missing in August, and his body was found in the Illinois River on September 4th in LaSalle County. His death was ruled a drowning, but family members and supporters want a federal investigation into the case.
