Governor Pritzker Announces School Mask Mandate

Governor JB Pritzker issued a vaccine requirement for state workers who work in congregant facilities Tuesday afternoon. The requirement goes in to effect October 4th.  Pritzker also has announced a mask mandate for students in preschool through 12th grade.  The action will bring Illinois schools in line with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s latest recommendation.  They suggest all teachers, students, and staff in schools wear masks indoors regardless of their vaccination status.  The mandate will apply to both public and private school students.
