Illinois Department of Employment Security unemployment offices are staying closed because of threats that have been received. IDES said yesterday that the agency has received bomb threats and threats of arson and vandalism. IDES officials say security plans and additional staff training are being put into place to ensure the safety of workers and clients. More than two-dozen credible threats have been investigated since March 2020.
