Last year was a deadly year in the United States for more reasons that COVID-19 according to a new study from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Compared with the previous five years, March through November 2020 saw an increase of more than 450,000 deaths, and more than 176,000 of those were not from COVID-19. Some demographics were hit harder than others, particularly men ages 15 to 64.
