After receiving reports of lengthy delays involving senior citizens and those with disabilities, State Senator Chapin Rose released the following statement regarding issues with the Monticello Secretary of State facility:
“We’ve had a number of people reach out to our office with issues with the Monticello Secretary of State facility and we’ve been in contact with the mayor’s office who has been fielding complaints as well. It’s troubling that people, especially senior citizens and people with disabilities, are having problems getting the service they need from a state facility. We have made sure that the Secretary of State is aware of these issues and are trying to push them to take corrective action. In the meantime, if you are having issues, please reach out to our office and we can make sure that the SOS is aware of your situation and that you are a priority.”
