Most families across Illinois will receive a financial boost from the American Rescue Plan. The Treasury Department today announced monthly payments of 300-dollars for each child under six and 250-dollars for each child six to 17-years-old for families earning under 150-thousand-dollars. Treasury Department officials say the extra funds will lift more than five million children out of poverty. The first payments will be made on July 15th and then on the 15th of the month through the end of the year.
