The federal government is sending more money to Illinois to get more people vaccinated against the coronavirus. The Illinois Department of Public Health yesterday said the state will receive 124 million-dollars to expand its vaccine effort. About 33 million of that money is going to Chicago, the rest of the state will split the money that’s left over. At least 75 percent of the dollars are to be targeted at people in Illinois’ underserved communities.
