IEMA: Include Kids in Disaster Planning

The Illinois Emergency Management Agency is encouraging families to include their kids in any disaster planning. Getting children to help build an emergency supply kit and plan a practice fire drill can help them feel safer when a disaster does strike according to IEMA. Also, the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the American Red Cross offer the “Prepare with Pedro” activity book for kids and their families.
