Volunteers took advantage of nice weather over the weekend to get rid of invasive plants from one state park. The group met up at Lincoln Trail Homestead State Park and Memorial on Saturday to remove honeysuckle from the grounds. A representative of the group said the honeysuckle had to go as it had taken over most of the woods. In addition to removing the plants, they also planted some native wildflowers throughout the area.
