Illinois Senate Subcommittee Passes Bill To Improve DCFS Reporting

An Illinois Senate subcommittee is advancing a bill that would improve reporting by the Department of Children and Family Services.  The Subcommittee on Children and Family passed a bill that would require DCFS to submit annual reports to lawmakers on the placement of children.  The reports would specify the placement of children in hospitals or psychiatric facilities.  The bill would also require DCFS to report on children placed in out-of-state facilities.
