Today is Primary Day in the City of Decatur and the polls are open until 7pm to determine the candidates for Decatur City Council that will appear on the ballot for the April 6th Consolidated General Election
In a release from Macon County Clerk Josh Tanner, the February 23rd Consolidated Primary is only for voters who live in the City of Decatur. Some voters have a City of Decatur address but do not live in or pay property tax to Decatur. Similarly, just because a voters’ polling place is open does not mean that they are eligible to vote. If voters have a question about their eligibility to vote in this election, they can call 217-424-1333.
