The state of Illinois could see a massive payday if Congress moves ahead with the coronavirus relief package from House Democrats. Illinois is in-line for over 13 billion-dollars in the package. That includes seven-and-a-half billion for state government, and another five-and-a-half billion for local governments across the state. No one is saying just where the state would spend the money. The U.S. Senate has not yet agreed to the huge spending package.
