Illinois State University’s process for finding its next president is underway. The university’s Presidential Search Committee held its first meeting yesterday. President Larry Dietz is retiring June 30th, after serving in the position since March 2014. There are 32 people on the committee that is tasked with screening applications and interviewing candidates before reaching a decision. ISU Board of Trustees Chairperson Julie Annette Jones says the committee is diverse and includes faculty, staff, students, people from the surrounding town, and other officials. Global search firm WittKieffer is also assisting with the process.
