The Illinois State Fire marshal’s office is warning about the dangers of carbon monoxide. Spokesperson J.C. Fultz says the gas is colorless, odorless, and tasteless. He adds that in 2019 Illinois fire departments responded to more than 23 thousand calls about carbon monoxide, with leaks found at close to eleven thousand of those locations. Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include headaches, fatigue, and nausea.
