An Illinois congressman says impeaching President Trump isn’t the smartest idea right now. On ABC’s This Week, Republican Adam Kinzinger said doing so would make President Trump the victim again. Kinzinger described the deadly violence at the Capitol as an attack from the executive branch on the legislative branch. Kinzinger noted that the nation was really close to having members of Congress killed. Trump supporters stormed the Capitol last Wednesday and made it into many places, including the Senate chamber.
