Illinois health officials are expecting a post-Thanksgiving surge in COVID-19 cases. The state Department of Public Health is recommending people wait seven days from a possible exposure before getting tested unless they are showing symptoms. IDPH also says anyone who was possibly exposed should isolate for 14 days. Officials say it will be about a week or two before we know if there will be a surge from Thanksgiving activities.
