A lot more people in Illinois are turning to unemployment. The state says unemployment claims spiked last week, jumping 38-percent. That’s the second largest increase in the country. There are some questions as to whether fraud is helping drive the numbers. But, the new claims come as Illinois looks to tighten the rules on bars, restaurants, and other businesses in the name of fighting the coronavirus.
