Springfield lawmakers are pushing back against possible restaurant and bar closings. Republican State Representative Mike Murphy from Springfield says restricting restaurants and bars will lead Illinois into further economic distress. Murphy says the state can’t afford to go back to Phase Three, and says the governor is singling out bars and restaurants. Springfield Mayor Jim Langfelder believes the virus is spreading more through personal gatherings than at bars and restaurants.
