President Trump is endorsing state Senator Jim Oberweis in the 14th Congressional District race. The Sugar Grove Republican is challenging first-term Democratic Representative Lauren Underwood of Naperville. The president Tweeted yesterday, “Jim Oberweis will be a terrific Congressman for Illinois!” Trump added that Oberweis is a successful businessman who will create jobs, lower taxes, defend law and order, and protect the second amendment from the radical left. The president’s message was one of several he posted yesterday in support of Republican congressional candidates across the country.
