Illinois Governor Again Asks for Federal Bailout

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker continues to say the federal government needs to help the state cover its coming-budget-shortfall. The governor Wednesday said the state cannot cut its way out of a five-billion-dollar budget hole. He is asking Congress to approve a coronavirus bailout for Illinois and other states. The governor says without federal money, there will be layoffs in state government and cuts to state services.
