Lawmakers Hold Hearing on Ending Cash Bail

Illinois lawmakers are discussing the possibility of ending cash bail.  A virtual hearing on the issue was held yesterday.  Ending the system of cash bond is a top priority for Governor J.B. Pritzker and the Legislative Black Caucus.  The Illinois Supreme Court Commission on Pretrial Practices release proposed changes to lawmakers in April.
