Central Illinois Haze Puzzles Experts

A haze that settled over Central Illinois last week is puzzling experts.  Chris Miller at the National Weather Service confirmed that the gray haze and smoky smell was occurring in several areas on Friday.  Airports across Central Illinois reported low visibility.  Miller said he suspected the fog stemmed from small fires across Central Illinois.
