State and Industry Officials are kicking off Manufacturing Month in Illinois. The state is the 4th largest in the country for manufacturing, with over 18 thousand companies employing more than half a million workers according to Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Director Erin Guthrie. She added that Illinois needs to attract those companies and new jobs by providing ample training to students interested in the field.
