Illinois Marathon Closes Registration For 2021 Race

The Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon is closing registration for next year’s race.  The organization says it isn’t confident it can keep participants safe if there is no COVID-19 vaccine.  Over five-thousand participants from this year’s canceled race transferred their registration to the 2021 event.  Organizers say it will be the end of April or beginning of May 2021 before a decision will be made whether to hold the event.
