The Macon County Health Department will begin to offer flu vaccines in office to adults and children by appointments only. A person can schedule an appointment by calling 217-423-6988 ext. 1333. Community Flu Clinics will be held on October 6 th, October 7th, and October 20th. Those who plan to attend a community clinic must call 217-423-6988 ext. 1316 to verify their insurance information to receive a flu vaccine. If a person has Medicare, they do not need to call ahead.
The first Community Flu Clinic will be held on Tuesday, October 6th at The Bridge Church in Argenta from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. The second Community Flu Clinic will be for senior citizens and will be held on Wednesday, October 7th at the Macon County Senior Center from 9:00-11:00 a.m. The third Community Flu Clinic will be held Tuesday, October 20th at the Macon Community Building from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. If you are interested in hosting a Flu Clinic in your community, please call 217-423-6988 ext. 1320.
