Illinois Agency Issues 46M In Grants To Small Businesses Victimized By Shutdowns

The state is awarding the first round of Business Interruption grants.  Forty-six million dollars in BIG grants have been handed out to more than 26-hundred businesses including salons, gyms, and restaurants.  The grants range from ten-thousand-dollars to 20-thousand.  The money can be used for payroll, utilities, equipment, and PPE for workers.  The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is expected to award more grants soon.  For more information, log on to the state agency’s website.
