The state is awarding the first round of Business Interruption grants. Forty-six million dollars in BIG grants have been handed out to more than 26-hundred businesses including salons, gyms, and restaurants. The grants range from ten-thousand-dollars to 20-thousand. The money can be used for payroll, utilities, equipment, and PPE for workers. The Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity is expected to award more grants soon.
