Ameren Illinois Activates Emergency Operation Center

Ameren Illinois has activated its Emergency Operations Center.  The center is responding to outages and damage caused by severe storms that crashed through the central part of the state Monday.  The center is staffed around-the-clock to coordinate service restoration, logistical support, and communication where it is most needed.  Workers are being sent out to keep people from coming into contact with live wires.  The Chairman and president of Ameren Illinois says workers are following protocols initiated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in relationship to COVID-19.
