The History of the Heartland Historic Preservation Week activities continue through Saturday. Tonight, Julie Staley, President of The Staley Museum and COO of Spencer Films, will speak on “Preserving Legacies” and the making of “Fields of Gold” the movie that is currently in production about the life of A.E. Staley. The talk will be held at the Masonic Temple, 224 West William Street tonight, August 12, 6:30. It is FREE and doors open at 6pm. A.E. Staley was one of the driving forces in the construction of the Temple in Decatur, and Julie Staley will speak about those ties as well this evening.
