Illinois officials say they have found more than 120 thousand cases of the unemployment benefits fraud that has spread across the nation. Governor Pritzker says the scam is likely connected to a prior data breach, where personal information was stolen. He says if you receive a benefit card in the mail that you are not expecting, don’t activate it. Pritzker added that you should report the card to the Illinois Department of Employment Security online at IDES DOT Illinois DOT GOV.
