A loss in funding is leading to major changes at Illinois State University’s student run newspaper. The university is considering making the Vidette a mandatory class for some students, meaning the staff will receive credit hours instead of getting paid. The paper’s Business Adviser and General Manager contracts are not being renewed and may go to adjunct professors. The Vidette has been operating for over 100 years.
