Pritzker Calls for Nationwide Mask Mandate

Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker says the federal government failed in putting together a national response as the coronavirus pandemic ravaged the country.  Speaking at a virtual hearing, Pritzker said a plan to get personal protective equipment and testing supplies was nonexistent.  He also called for a national mask mandate.  Tupelo, Mississippi Mayor Jason Shelton advocated for local aid to be sent to cities so they can provide basic services.  Dr. Umair Shah, a top public health official in the Houston area, says those on the front lines are facing burnout.
