Rep. Bailey’s Lawsuit Sent Back To County Court

A lawsuit filed by Representative Darren Bailey against Governor J.B. Pritzker is headed back to county court.  A judge remanded the case yesterday to Clay County after both parties had waited weeks for a decision on the venue.  The Illinois Attorney General’s office wanted the case considered in federal court, which led Bailey’s attorney to file a motion to send the case back to Clay County.  Bailey’s suit alleges that Pritzker didn’t have the authority to extend his stay-at-home executive order.
