Decatur Police have arrested a 28-year-old parolee for the June 11th Aggravated Robbery of the Subway Restaurant on East Mound road, and the June 16th Aggravated Robbery of the Circle K gas station on Barnett Avenue in Forsyth. Local Parole Agents have successfully secured a Hold Warrant for Kyle Anderson, age 28, who was paroled April 21st for the same offenses in a Piatt County case.
According to the DPD Press Release: “On 6/11/20 the Subway located at 1411 E. Mound Rd in Decatur was the victim of an Aggravated Robbery. A male subject entered the business, implied he had a gun and demanded money from the employees. After taking the money, the suspect fled the business. Through investigation, a suspect and suspect vehicle description were developed.
On 6/16/20 at approximately 10:36 PM the Circle K gas station 1315 Barnett Ave. in Forsyth was the victim of an Aggravated Robbery. A male subject entered the business, implied he had a gun and demanded money from the employee. The suspect then fled the business. The description of the suspect was similar to the description of the suspect in the previous Subway Aggravated Robbery.
Decatur Police Officers and Detectives were able to locate the suspect vehicle at the Ramada Inn, 355 W. Hickory Point Rd. Kyle Anderson, M, 28 and Matthew Anderson M, 32 were in the vehicle and were subsequently taken into custody for the Aggravated Robbery to the Circle K. Probable cause was developed to arrest Kyle Anderson for the Aggravated Robbery to the Subway as well.
It was determined Kyle Anderson is currently on Parole for Aggravated Robbery. IDOC records indicate that Kyle was paroled on 4/21/20 (Piatt County Case 14CF9). Kyle was then booked into the Macon County Jail on two counts of Aggravated Robbery. This investigation is ongoing. Additional charges and arrests are possible.
