Woman Facing Preliminary Charges In Death Of Baby

A Decatur woman is facing preliminary charges in connection with the death of her baby.  Authorities say 32-year-old Jennifer Bishop was arrested Wednesday, accused of endangering and causing the death of a child on February 27th.  Investigators say evidence shows that Bishop had drank a bottle of whiskey and a bottle of NyQuil along with taking an Abilify before co-sleeping with the baby.  An autopsy revealed that the child had died from asphyxia after being laid on while co-sleeping with an adult.
