Woman Shot In Decatur Dies – Update

Decatur Police are continuing their investigation, after a woman shot in Decatur has died.  Officials say 22-year-old Shemilah Sanders was shot Saturday night near the Garfield Underpass and died yesterday afternoon.  Two men are in custody in connection with the shooting. A statement from Macon County Coroner Mike Day says an autopsy will be performed on Ms. Sanders late Wednesday to determine an exact cause of death which he says he hopes will assist in the investigation and subsequent prosecution in the case. Day says preliminary autopsy results will be released when appropriate.
