A curfew is expiring in the city of Urbana.
Mayor Diane Marlin instituted a curfew that started last night at 9 p.m. and ran through 6 a.m. this morning. The curfew was a response to violent protests that have broken out across the nation over the weekend. Marlin released a statement backing the public’s right to peacefully protest, encouraging any demonstrators to be respectful of community members and their property.
