Governor J.B. Pritzker is using the Illinois National Guard to provide assistance to the Chicago Police Department.
Pritzker activated 375 members of the Guard yesterday as the city went under lock down because of protests over the death of George Floyd. Floyd died while being detained by Minneapolis police. Hundreds of protesters have been arrested in Chicago.
