There are signs that the coronavirus outbreak in Illinois is getting better.
The Illinois Department of Public Health yesterday said that coronavirus hospitalizations are at a six-week low. IDPH Director Ngozi Ezike on Tuesday said almost 4,000 people are in the hospital because of the virus. The state reported 1,100 new cases yesterday. That’s also lower. Ezike says numbers from over the weekend are typically lower than from during the week.
