The City of Decatur in partnership with Advanced Disposal has set its 2020 City-wide cleanup dates. Cleanups will be held on: Wednesday, June 3rd 2-6 p.m., Thursday, September 24th 2-6 p.m. and Saturday, October 24th 8 a.m.-12 noon.
Residents can dispose of large items for no charge. Items need to be placed in roll-off bins that will located within the parking lot. Face coverings and social distancing will be required as per the CDC guidelines. Residents will have to unload their own items as there will not be any assistance when placing items into the roll-offs.
Items such as: old furniture, mattresses, and household items can be disposed of during this cleanup. Limited amounts of tires from residents will also be accepted.
Things not accepted include: electronics, appliances, paint or yard waste. Proof of City of Decatur residency will be required. All events will be held in the Decatur Civic Center parking lot, located at #1 Gary K. Anderson Plaza.
