In response to COVID-19, the Illinois House and Senate voted in favor of a new bill that will allow restaurants and bars to serve cocktails via takeout or delivery. Customers will still be required to prove that they are 21 years old.
The Senate voted in favor by a vote of 56-0, the House voted 104-6.
Governor Pritkzer will be the next person to see the bill and, if passed, it will become active directly after.
